Privacy Collection Notice | TEQSA 2026 Conference
The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) is collecting your personal information for the purpose of administering and delivering the TEQSA 2026 Conference scheduled for 17 and 18 November 2026 (the Conference), including processing registrations, facilitating attendance, providing access to content and digital event platforms for the Conference, communicating event-related information, and requesting feedback to evaluate the Conference.
The personal information collected may include:
- Your name, organisation, position title and contact details;
- Registration and attendance information;
- Professional and sector-related information relevant to event participation;
- Accessibility and dietary requirements where voluntarily provided;
- Your payment and bank account details and
- Feedback submitted during and/or after the Conference.
Your personal information may be disclosed by TEQSA to its contracted event management and technology service providers, including organisations engaged to manage registrations, virtual event delivery, communications, event applications, and related services for the Conference. These providers are only authorised to use your personal information for purposes directly associated with administering and delivering the Conference. The Conference sessions will be recorded and recordings may be made publicly available following the event. If you participate in live question and answer sessions, discussion forums, polls, or any other interactive features, your name, organisation, image, voice and submitted content may form part of recordings and be visible on publicly available platforms following the event. By accepting this notice and registering for the Conference, you consent to this secondary use or disclosure of your personal information.
Your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients. The situations in which they may occur are varied, but may include:
- The Conference sessions being made publicly available,
- The Conference sessions being accessed from an overseas location, and
- The provision of personal information to the event organiser where that information is stored on an overseas server
Where TEQSA does so, we will ensure that appropriate steps are taken to comply with applicable privacy laws.
Provision of your personal information is voluntary; however, if you choose not to provide the requested information, TEQSA may be unable to process your registration and/or facilitate your participation in the Conference.
