Sarah Coll

Dr Sarah Coll is a Cairns based Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon who graduated from medicine at the University of Western Australia in 1994. From there she trained in orthopaedics throughout Queensland until moving to Cairns in 2005 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. She has over 20 years of experience treating injuries of the knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.

Dr Coll was the second woman in Queensland to become a Fellow of Orthopaedic Surgery and the first surgeon in Cairns with an interest in shoulder arthroscopy and upper limb surgery. She started her own private orthopaedic practice, Fixing Broken Wings (formerly Air Medicine), in 2007 and works in private practice full-time seeing WorkCover, DVA and private patients.   Dr Coll strives to improve general health and well-being for her patients and the community.


Kenneth Cutbush

Kenneth Cutbush is a highly accomplished orthopaedic shoulder surgeon based in Brisbane, known for his extensive expertise in shoulder joint replacement surgery, instability surgery, and rotator cuff issues. He currently holds several prestigious leadership positions, including Scientific Secretary, Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA), Board Member of the AOA, Chairman AOA Fellowships Committee, Chairman AOA Continuing Orthopaedic Education Committee. 

Dr Cutbush is a past National Vice President of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the Chief Supervisor of the Brisbane Shoulder Fellowship with 3 AOA accredited shoulder fellows highlighting his role in mentoring the next generation of shoulder surgeons. Dr Cutbush is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland and Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology. He progressed from general orthopaedic roles to becoming a prominent figure in shoulder surgery, focusing on shoulder joint replacement, instability surgery, and rotator cuff repair. 




Andrew McBride

Dr Andrew McBride is an Australian Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. Dr McBride works in both public and private practice at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast..  Dr McBride completed his fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery in Melbourne Australia with Mr Greg Hoy and Eugene Ek before undertaking further fellowship training in Annecy, France with Dr Laurent La Fosse and in Lyon with Dr Lionel Neyton. 

His current practice includes both open and arthroscopic surgery and he has a strong interest in sports medicine and arthroplasty. He is involved in local, interstate and international research projects and maintains a specific interest in the management of shoulder arthritis in young patients.


Mark Ross

Current President of the Australian Hand Surgery Society and Immediate Past President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, Mark Ross is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Queensland. He is the Director of the Upper Limb Fellowship Programme at Princess Alexandra Hospital, and a founder and co-director of the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Research Institute.

He has a special interest in distal radius fractures, carpal instability, complex reconstructive and revision surgery, and is actively involved in the development of new surgical techniques and new joint replacement technologies, and advocating for specialist staff in the public hospital.  Professor Ross graduated from The University of Queensland with MBBS in 1987. He completed his FRACS in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1996 and undertook a fellowship in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 1997, before travelling to the USA to undertake a 12-month Fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky.
